I disappeared for 6 months, no msn and no blog, all blocked by company. And I seldome log into my computer at night during the last months, because Bangkok was fun.....So the conclusion is that blog is only for people pretending to be busy in office, or killing time after work...I am using it to kill time now.

Reached US on Sunday night. This was not the first time I took more than 20 hours flight, but this was absolutely the most boring one. Believe it or not, in american airline planes, ppl need to wait a long queue for 20 minutes to go to the toilets. In american airline planes, there is only one movie which is 'current' movie: MII 2. In american airline plane, no dinner was provided for flight 6pm-10pm (Actually the flight was delayed till 8pm) I have to say that American airline sucks and i will try to not take it any more.

Met with a very nice taxi driver at the airport. (Too nice I dare not contact him again even if I still need taxi everyday) He warmly invited me to move into his 'big apartment, with swimming pool'. My first impression to Ohio ppl, though he originally from Egypt.

Slept the whole day on Monday. very surpised that wireless access here is free and fast. Obviously technical side US is much much better than Thailand, where I have to pay around 100 USD for very slow wireless network.

Went to ofc in the next a few days. still not very used to the time-zone, feel very tired in the afternoon but woke up everynite at 12pm, 2am, 4am....sometimes I just got up at 5am and started talk to my bf till 6am then back try to sleep again. but now i am ok already, last night we talked till 12am then i slept till 8am this morning. But here ppl start working from 8 so from tomorrow onwards, i need to get up at 6:30 :(((

I am staying in Residence Inn Marriott. It's 20 minutes taxi to my office ($20 also, gosh, taxi here so expensive...) but 5 mintues walk to a group of shopping malls, e.g. Macy's, elder beerman...it's really convenient for shopping so I spent some money on things actually i dont need :p I walked 5 minutes today to a Wal mart nearby. and I was very disappointed that there is no fresh food there. I wanted to buy some fruit but ended up with snacks. I like weather here, sunny but not hot at all. I would like to take a walk outside, but kinda werid cos ppl all driving. when they see me walking, they stop their cars and wait until i pass, which makes me feel a big weird. so i spent most of my time in my room, browsing internet, chatting with friends and watching tv. there are Friends and Everybody loves Raymond from 7-10, which makes me very happy. and most of time after 9pm I could not open my eyes already.

My consultant showed me the apartment i am going to move in. that's a lovely place, quiet and clean. a lake with lots of ducks, and even an out-door theater where sometimes have some concerts. but the apartment will be ready for me to move in only after abt 2 weeks. From the aprtment to office i can take bus. but need to change to another bus on the way, and i guess the bus wont be very frequent. So still decided to get a license. Later need to get a car, since company wont give me one cos I have no license now (They said it's a big reliability to the company...), i need to figure out how to get a car later. But dont want to worry abt this now, let me get a license first.

tmr will have a meeting with my AL 8:30 in the morning, then afternoon will go to apply for a social security number. the HR manager still has not replied to me yet..:(

b4 leaving thailand, others were contacted by N&P to return back their work permit, except me. So i need to post back my work permit tmr. Shall I just send it out and let it go, or shall I send an email to blame them why not contact me before I left? I dont want troubles, but this time was very rediculous, if i dont point to them, my boss will point to me and blame on me. But see, it's really not my fault...I guess I was ignored by them

My Bf went to sleep at some beer :))) so I have time here to write my blog. Took some pictures of the hotel, and will put it later.

今天心情很不好. 急着要想把剩下的考试考完, 可以今天这个好难, 居然两次都没有通过. 我一怒之下试了n次, 有几道题我觉得我的答案根本就是对的. 烂题库!!! 最后总算过了, 可是只有75%, 一个字, 烂. 做了整整5个小时的题, 真的是筋疲力尽了, 可是只有一个小时休息加吃饭, 因为7点还有SDLC的team meeting. 又生了一肚子的气. 明明是大家讨论嘛, 每个人都可以有comments, 然后我们讨论. 可是我提了一个comment, 一个team member居然问:does it really matter? 废话. 我解释了我的理由, 大家好好讨论也就罢了, 猜那个人说什么? alright, just do whatever u want!!??? 真是气人, 怎么可以用这样的语气讨论工作? 对或者不对本来就是提出来大家讨论的嘛. 也不能因为我们俩比较熟就这样啊. 上次也是, 讨论完大家分到自己的assignment, 那个人居然说, 其实你应该多做一些, 因为你不用上班. 拜托, 我可是在度假. 你度假的时候跑出去玩, 我们连会都不能开, 凭什么我度假就得比别人多做. 关键在于我要是真闲也就算了, 我自己都会提出来多做点, 可是我这几天为了该死的考试真是焦头烂额. 我还有8个考试要在5月一号前考完. 前天做了2个,今天完了一个, 还剩5个!!! 度个假真他妈比上班还累. 真是不爽, 又碰到另外一个人跟我胡搅蛮缠一通, 我当时恨不得打他一顿.
不过谢谢YM跟我聊了一会, 感觉好点了. 其实工作就是这样, 遇到合不来的team member太平常了, 老是这样自己生气划不来, 也犯不着. 所以尽量就当他不存在吧. 唉... 讨生活不容易啊... 不过话又说回来, 就算不工作俺也不会饿着, 可以那样生活不是又很无聊... 呵呵, 不过我妈就高兴了, 可以在家陪她. 什么时候要是怎么工作压力太大, 干脆回家吧... 唉, 其实心情不好的很大一部分原因在于后天就要会bkk了, 不想离开家, 不想回去工作, wuwuwu...
决定在回去之前不做任何考试了. 就是明天晚上还有一趟课. 好好享受今晚和明天. 干吗要把自己逼得这么惨, 我可是在度假.

Last friday night went to a bar with M, S, and SJ. got really drunk at the end...

Saturday met with XY, Sharon, YM and TH. had a big lunch then went to MBK to get some cash then went to china town then the flower market then back to my hotel then went to the suam lum night market. was exhausted so did not join then for the market yesterday. went to the IT mall to send my laptop, then met with the gang, had dinner, and walked around. went to a bar and i realized that it was the same place i went on friday night $%$#^&$% so i went back home while they went into the bar. could not drink at Sunday night...

too much to record down in details. so need to put a link to YM or xy's blog later. nice YM always writes detailed blogs and puts pictures.

today spent the whole day on the risk and finance, feel so sick of it now... so going to take a rest then later from 7-9 joining the first class of the software development life cycle. i hope it's fun.

find out that skype is really good. yeah have to say that sometimes the quality is very bad but most of time still can communicate. and anyway it's cheap. and so convenient, don't even have to dial a number.

planning to go out for a drink tonight, but don't know where to go.

poor M was poisoned by his dinner last night. he went to the hospital this morning, but i guess he will be energic again tonight, just for the bars.

going to start the software development life cycle course from next monday. realized that i need to attend the course during the time i am at home. so do need to remember to bring my dialcom card with me, and all course materials and VPN token. otherwise i will be in big troubles...ai... cannot really relax during my vacation...

i called another travel agency this morning and asked them to put me into the waiting list, because they only ask for 11,000B while the one i booked is 14,000B. if i am still in the waiting list at the end of monday, i will have to issue the tickets i aleady booked.

was discussing with mom whether should let dad to pick me up at chengdu airport. he can ask someone there to pick me up then send me to the bus station. i can take a bus home thru the highway, around 3-4 hours should be enuf to chongqing. or he drives to chengdu and pick me up and drive back to chongqing. but then usually he will just fall into sleep on the way back. this also take 3-4 hours. easier for me but quite dangerous and tiring for him. so actually i would like to take bus home by myself. but he insists driving. would be better if mom also come with him, at least safer on the way to chengdu. so let them decide bah, i am fine anyway. now it's really important for me to learn how to drive. maybe can learn it this time at home.

just practised my pitch with AL. not many changes.. going to be so released tonight after the pitch. will go to the tailor shop with J to redeem the voucher we have. and also check out those massage places.

today is a busy day. prepare and rehearsal the whole morning, going to have a conf call later at 2pm, then my 10 0day check point. prepvious was to organize a meeting with the business also today, but then realized that fully booked.

bought skype credits, going to use skepe to call back home. 10USD for 8 hours, cheaper than using a calling card. but still not as cheap as making international call from singapore.

still trying to find the tickets. now thinking of travel around in china if really cannot get any ticket to chongqing.

i am so happy now cos i just booked the tickets for back to china. SJ took me to a travel agency. the lady was checking for me from the system, tried a lot of combinations, such as BKK-GZ-CQ, BKK-KM-CQ, finally she found one BKK-CD on Aprial 7. then there was no return ticket on 23 Apr. she tried and tried and tried. SJ said i could buy two single trip tickets from different companies, but it's too troublesome and also too costly. but suddenly she managed to book on return ticket for on me 23 april. Hurray!!! next step is to ask mom to cancel her trip. she planed to have a 13 days trip around china, and already paid for it. so once she can cancel her trip, i can ask them to issue the tickets for me. so totally from apr 7 to 23, i will have to take 9 or 8 days leave and stay at home for 17 days, very good deal. the tickets is 14,500B, around 600 SGD, een more costly than i flying back to china from singapore. but already satisfied that i can actually get one. :)))))


hahaha, i am even happier now. finished my 10 day check point so easier. i did tat with PA, and actually i think i have done well, one of my team member was with me also, so i was not very nervous. and my reviewer was just so nice, he did not ask me any question. he only said that he was afraid that if i work on three projects ,i won't be able to go out with other at weekends' nite to the bars..hahaha... and he is coming next weekend to sovle our funding problem. my director asked me one question, but not a difficult one. then i asked 9 days leave and my AL have no single word abt it. then i called back home, and my mom was very happy that i can stay at home for so long and she is going to cancel her trip tomorrw. Everything is just so perfect!

going for dinner...starving...

last night stayed late till 8+, was listening to a global call. it's quite funny as one of the manager was quite angry with the questions asked by someone and two of them were almost arguing...

went to the 12 floor at 9pm. went for swimming for a while, then first time tried the steam room and sauna room. steam room was great but must be something wrong with the sauna room as it's not hot at all. others went our for supper, did not join them ,jsut went back to my room and had a early sleep last night.

today going to finish my pitch then send to my AL. he is on leave today, so will discuss with him tmr. tmr is gonna be a busy day as will have a meeting with india for one project, discussion and my 10 day check point. but after tmr night i will be very released, at least for this week...

tried to get an air ticket back to china next month, but could not get any. travel agencies said all fully booked, no result from online booking...very frustrated!

yesterday got an email from my VP, asking the projects assigned to me. he thinks that the visa project is too technical so asked me to talk to my AL to get another one. however, my AL did manage to find a new one for me, but not to replace the old one. so now i have three projects to work on, plus GB exam, Risk and finance course, foundation of leadershiping training, system life cycle course..... i am gonna be so overloaded :((

others will have their reports today noon, only mine is on thursday :'( and alone.....very spcial treatment..

recently i have some problem dealing with relationships: one of my colleague stopped talking to me. we are not that close friends but we did talk to each other usually. but no more. i am kinda not so good at communicate with ppl i am not familiar with. Sometimes i can feel that something wrong but i will never try to ask and find out the reason, which makes me a bit bothered. i will just wait wait and wait, maybe some day can find out why and most probably everything will just be covered by time. i am just confused....i really don't think i have done anything to that person, but why leh???? So confused....

but actually my colleague started talking to me again. i guess i was just thinking too much...

went to Pattaya last Saturday. We left at 8:30 am. was told only 1.5 hour from Bkk to pattaya. But actually from the apartment to bus station already took us half an hour. Traffic in bkk is really bad. then 4 hours in the bus, cos the bus was so so slow, and stopped every where to pick up ppl. so we reached pattay at around 2pm. The apartment we booked is so good. i wish chateau would be like tat. there is a big swimming pool ,very clean water, and even a small river. we booked a suite, so J and I in the bedroom, shared one big bed, adn S and M in the living room, btw, the living room is quite large. and there is even a balcony.

after changed, we directly went to the beach. two boys went into the water whil J and I just lied on the chairs we rented, watching at ppl and had a nice nap. it's not crowded on the beach. there are much more hot bikini gal in sentosa than in pattaya beach. so Mr. M was very disappointed. then the sea water is quite dirty so Mr S was disappointed too. after rested for a while, we took a walk at the market then walked back to the apartment. the swimming pool in the apartment was much more enjoyable. so we spent sometime there.

went out at night for dinner. went into a steak place cos M wanted to have a big steak. but turned out that the food was expensive and not good in that restaurant, and S went to toilet twice within 5 minutes after eating the food.

went to a walking street after dinner, which should be the center of Pattaya. this is a place full of bars, hookers and she-males. we saw so many white old man with one or even two young thai gals. went to the music festival after that, saw some cute boys singing on the stage, crowds were crazy but we actually had no idea who they were. so left in 5 minutes.we went into a club, had a bottle of beer and watched shows. not very interesting. went into another bar again, had some beers and played a game. went back to the apartment at around 2am.

on sunday had a good sleep, took breakfast, then spent sometime again in the swimming pool. checkout at 12pm, left our luggage in the apartment then went to the beach again. finally i tried tat red steamed shrimp. it's actually quite good and fresh, and i did not feel anything after eating it. walked a long way with J to find some small aroma packs, which S and M spelt in the chairs for the whole time. had lunch at a restaurant. i poured the whole glass of watermelon fuice onto my shirt and pants -_-/// and the waitress immediately ran away, not even tried to get me some tissue...

finally we took a taxi back cos it's not too different with taking a bus. and it's much faster. but still cost us 3 hours back to bkk. btw, we had the first rain ever since arrived in bkk from last month. i miss weather in singapore.

have booked an apartment in Pattaya. As there will be a music festival this weekend, most of the hotels are fully booked. finally i managed to book one. this is an apartment with one living room and one bedroom. so J and i will be staying in the bedroom and two guys will stay in the living room, they put two single beds in the living room, but they said cannot put two single beds in the bedroom, so J and I have to share one king size bed.

hmm... then still going out tonight?

this morning my al came to me and asked me to do some document. i was working on this the whole morning. i was supposed to draw a process maps for 12 senarios. but actually they are all the same except the content fo the response messages are different. then felt very stress. after lunch. caught my al and told him that i could not do this, i could not just draw one map then copy it 11 time. he is such a nice guy and he said i know it's very difficult for me, let me draw one as an example then you can just modify it a bit for the rest. oh , i have a great AL. but problem is i don't have a visio, so need to let some one install it. but before that, need to raise a request, wait for approval and even need to pay for it. #$%#$^ shall i just buy one on the street? but anyway, tmr have a whole day working on this, as i have almost done another work today.

today found a nice place for lunch.

i asked to change our pattaya trip to the next weekend as i am not feeling well this weekend. but then realized that my friends are coming next weekend. then have to ask my pals to go this weekend. but we have not booked the hotel rooms yet as they are still in the meeting..

feel very bored these days everyday went back to my room, eating, watching tv and going internet. want to go out some where. actually i should go to that Pan Tip plaza to have my laptop repaired. but i am not sure abt the process: shall i just have it repaired, no matter how much it will cost, then claim back moeny; or shall i let them estimate the cost of repairing, if it's very high, i will buy a new one, then ask the insurance to cover part of it? just sent an email to ask for the guideline on whether repair or replace it. do want to have a desktop instead of a laptop. but anyway, no game in bkk :(
